Open-field behaviors consisted of a) the number of gridlines crossed, b) the number of center entries, c) time spent in the center area, and d) the number of rears. Clodronate male and female rats crossed more lines than vehicle male and rats, and clodronate female rats crossed more lines than vehicle female rats (a). There were no differences in time spent in the center area (b). Clodronate female rats entered the center area more than vehicle female rats (c). Clodronate rats rear significantly less than vehicle rats (d). *p < 0.05, ***p < 0.0005, ****p < 0.0001, ##p < 0.01 between treatments, n = 9 for clodronate male, n = 10 for vehicle male, n = 11 for clodronate and vehicle female.
