Using results from the simulations shown in Fig 9B(i-ii), we compared the densities of resistant parasites at the end of every 14-day treatment window to the densities that would be expected if the same infections had continued untreated for that 14-day period. For each treatment instance, the net gain is reported as the density of resistant parasites after 14 days of treatment minus the density expected after 14 days without treatment.
