Detection of infectious virus in clinical samples. Infectious virus was isolated in Vero cells from (A) nasal swabs or (B) oral swabs after infection with NJ0612NME6 or NJ0806VCB at expressed days post-infection. Positive isolations were confirmed by rRT-PCR and viral titrations were conducted in Vero cells. Viral titers are expressed in TCID₅₀/ml.
