Hydrolysis pattern of investigated arabinoxylanolytic enzymes on purified arabinoxylo- and xylooligosaccharides. Arrows indicate the first cleavage site of the enzymes. Arrows with asterisk indicate potential cleavage sites. Due to the design of the experiment, it was not possible to identify the actual cleavage site. The hydrolysis experiments were performed overnight at 60 °C and pH 6.5 with 2 mg/L enzyme and 20 mg/L pure oligosaccharide or oligosaccharide mixture.
