CAR protects mice from DSS induced colon permeabilization in vivo. (a) FITC-Dextran permeability assay measurement of colon permeability after different treatment. Colon tissue samples were collected after animals were treated with control or DSS/DSS+CAR, mRNA was isolated, and genes were detected by specific primers. (d) Protein levels of CAR and tight junction gene ZO-1 and Occludin were determined by Western blot using specific antibodies, and β-actin levels were used as endogenous loading control.
