Table 1 summarizes the characteristics of the included patients at the time for heart transplantation. When treated with LVAD, the last recorded LVEF prior to LVAD implantation was noted. IHD = Ischaemic heart disease, HF = Heart failure, NYHA = New York Heart Association Functional Classification, LVEF = Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction, DCM = Dilated cardiomyopathy, HCM = Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, CABG = Coronary artery bypass surgery, PH = Pulmonary hypertension, MI = Myocardial infarction, ASD = Atrial septum defect
