For each subject, the tSNR map was calculated on a voxel-wise basis from the 15, minimally preprocessed, b0 images of each HCP 1Tx and HCP pTx dataset, and the tSNR per dataset was quantified at the whole brain level by averaging across the entire masked brain. Note that the use of pTx nearly increased the tSNR across the entire brain with the tSNR on average increased by 19% (p=0.0004, T(4)).
