Effects of IL-33 on rhinovirus (RV)-induced type 1 and 2 cytokine release. PBMCs from people with allergic asthma (n = 14) and non-allergic healthy controls (n = 22) were pre-exposed to media or IL-33 for 6 h and then cultured in the absence or presence of RV for 5 days. IL-5 (A), IL-13 (B), and IFNγ (C) production have been measured by ELISA. Data are expressed as mean (±SEM).
