Thrombin generation on activated platelets. Platelets were activated with the thrombin receptor agonist peptide SFLLRN, and 50 nM of wild-type FVIIa (○), K337A-FVIIa (▴), FVIIaIIa (⧫), or K337A-FVIIaIIa (●) was then added together with protein mixture and calcium (see Materials and Methods). Aliquots were removed and analyzed for thrombin amidolytic activity. The data shown are representative of three separate experiments.
