(A) 2x107 T cells, isolated from wild-type, Ifng-/-, Ifngr1-/- or Prf1-/- donors, or 1x107 CD4 T cells and/or 0.8x107 CD8 T cells of wild-type donors were adoptively transferred into Rag2-/- recipients that were simultaneously infected with 106 PFU MCMV-3D. Organs were analyzed at 8 dpi. (B) Quantification of the number of infected cells per lung slice. For comparison data from infected Rag2-/- mice without T cell transfer are depicted in open circles (same data set as shown in Fig 3).
