Nasal fibroblasts were pretreated with the following drug and specific inhibitors: apigenin (10 μM), SB203580 (20 μM), SP600125 (10 μM), and BAY11-7082 (6 μM) and then stimulated with TGF-β1 (5 ng/ml). (A) The mRNA levels of a-SMA, fibronectin, and collagen type I were determined by real-time PCR. (B) The protein expressions of a-SMA, fibronectin, and collagen type 1 were assessed by western blot. Results were obtained from at least three independent experiments. * p <0.05 vs. TGF-β1; †p < 0.05 vs. apigenin.
