Strains were grown in 5 ml stirred cultures or in 96-well plates ±150 ng/ml ATc for 7 days and growth measured by OD₅₉₀. Increased growth is defined as >1.5-fold growth in the presence of ATc. Reduced growth is defined as <0.5-fold growth in the presence ATc. Normal growth is defined 0.5- to 1.5-fold growth in the presence of ATc.
