Key Steps to Performing Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasonography of the Aorta after EVAR

Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound Examination of Aorta after EVAR
  1. Position patient supine.

  2. Utilize low frequency (1–5 MHz) curvilinear probe.

  3. Perform B-Mode and Color Doppler examination, starting in epigastrum and moving caudally.

  4. Perform CEUS examination with focus on relationship of enhancement between lumen and sac.

  5. If the sac enhances, consider repeating the study with a focus on delineating source and direction.
