Both MAS and GS speedup selection cycles, increases precision and improves genetic gain per year. Selection and recombination will be duplicated multiple times before the yield trials to increase the favorable allele frequency. Incorporation of genomics to the recurrent selection strategies substantiates the effectiveness of the breeding program.
