PD-L1 was overexpressed in ESCC tumors compared to the matched nonneoplastic esophageal tissue. (A) The expression of PD-L1 in ESCC tumors and their matched nonneoplastic esophageal tissues for 188 patients was detected by staining with anti–PD-L1 antibody, and each sample was scored with the scale of 0, 1, 2, or 3 according to the staining intensity and abundance.
