Chondrocytes and BMSCs were isolated from goat auricular cartilage and bone marrow, respectively, mixed with 30% Pluronic F-127 to form a gel-cell complex and implanted into the TMJ condylar articular cartilage defects. (A and B) The white arrow indicates that the full-thickness condylar cartilage was totally removed and that a large hole was created in the condyle surface.
