The effect of beetroot on the proliferation of splenocytes. Mice administered with beetroot extract were exposed to 7 Gy WBI and splenocytes were isolated from mice in experiment groups 10 days after irradiation. Proliferation of splenocytes was measured using the incorporation of 3H-thymidine. Data shown are representative of three independent experimnets and are represented as means ± SEM of radioactivity-count per minute (cpm) (*p < .05, ††p < .01).
