The color of the squares depicts the physical entities represented. Black node labels denoted the input genes and magenta node labels denote intermediate nodes. The arrow from protein to gene suggested that the protein activates the gene by regulating the DNA; The arrow from protein to RNA suggested that the protein activates the gene by regulating the RNA.
