Activation and inhibition of p38‐MAPK induces utrophin expression. (a) C2C12 myoblasts were treated with 1 nM anisomycin for 0, 2, 4, and 6 hours. Immunoblotting for phospho‐p38 and total‐p38 indicates upregulation of p38 phosphorylation in comparison to total‐p38 (n = 3). (b) C2C12 myoblasts were treated with 3μM SB239063 (p38 inhibitor) for 2.5 hours. Cells were then treated for 24 hours with 1 nM anisomycin. (n = 3) Error bars show SEM of average.
