Overexpression of SIRT1 facilitates neurite outgrowth whereas overexpression of GCN5 retards neurite outgrowth in cultured hippocampal neurons. (a) Hippocampal neurons at DIV3 were transfected with either GFP-tagged GCN5 WT, GCN5 E575Q or SIRT1 WT along with DsRed vector. Fluorescent images were obtained with an LSM700 confocal microscope.
