The schematic illustration of the magnetic module which assisted the movement of the magnetic beads in both incubation and washing processes. (a) The magnetic module included the stationary magnet stage, the moving magnet stage, and the microfluidic disk. (b) In the incubation process, the disk was rotated at a low rotational speed and the moving magnet traveled alternatively between the inner and the outer radial positions of the moving rail by the attraction of the stationary magnets. (c) In the washing process, the disk was rotated at a high rotational speed and the moving magnet stayed at the outer radial position of the moving rail. The magnetic beads were kept inside the reaction chamber as the liquid flowed into the waste chamber.
