Dequenching of calcein–iron complex by CHBH. Fluorescence assay of K562 cells treated with calcein-AM, (NH₄)₂Fe(SO₄)₂, DMSO (negative control), EDTA (positive control) and CHBH at the indicated time. The iron-chelating property of CHBH is comparable to that of EDTA. Values are mean ± SD of biological triplicates.
