In a recently published study of patients from Créteil, the probability of death was low in patients with TRV <2.5 m/s, whereas TRV ≥2.5 m/s was associated with a hazard ratio of 6.81 in multivariate analysis (P < .001). Remarkably, the risk of death rises linearly above a value of 3 m/s with a 50% probability of death at TRV 3.2 m/s.
