Effects of ING5 overexpression phenotypes in SH‐SY5Y cells. After transfection of pEGFP‐N1‐ING5, ING5 expression became strong in SH‐SY5Y cells as indicated by RT‐PCR and Western blot (A). The transfectants showed low growth, chemoresistance to SAHA (B), low glucose metabolism (C), G1 arrest (D), and higher levels of apoptosis (E) compared with the control and mock conditions. Invasion and migration abilities were weaker in the ING5 transfectants than those observed under the control and mock conditions according to wound healing (F) and Transwell chamber assays (G). The protein expression levels of the phenotypes were screened by Western blot (H).
