Immunophenotyping of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC). (a) PBMC from control and multiple sclerosis (MS) patients were cultured for 4 h without any stimulus and stained with anti‐human CD14, CD16 and CD19 antibodies and analysed by flow cytometry. Frequencies of CD14⁺, CD14⁺CD16⁺ and CD19⁺ cells are shown. The results comparing controls with MS patients for each cell type were analysed by Student's t‐test.
