The effect of shaking velocity on the reaction rate. Micro-scale reactions using a pre-incubated mixture of H2O2 and formic acid (the reagent mix was stored two weeks at 4 °C) and shaken at various speeds at 0 °C to mix the reactants. Reactions were stopped after 5 min. The maximum reaction rate was achieved by 1200 rpm and statistical analysis according to the Holm-Sidak method showed no significant difference between the rates at 1200 rpm and 1400 rpm.
