S1P₁ C-terminal tail showing a Ser cluster at the extreme C-terminus possibly required for stable interaction with β-arrestin. The sequence underlined in the S1P₁ C-terminal tail is essential for endocytosis of S1P₁. Comparison is made with the class A β2 adrenergic receptor (β2AR) (that lacks Ser/Thr clusters) and the class B vasopressin receptor 2 (V2R) (which contains Ser/Thr clusters).
