Effects of VEE on degranulation, inflammatory mediators and cell viability in IgE/Ag-activated RBL-2H3 cells. IgE-sensitized RBL-2H3 cells were preincubated with VEE (0–200 μg/mL) for 1 h prior to antigenic challenge. β-Hexosaminidase activity, the amounts of IL-4, TNF-α, PGD2, and LTC4, and cell viability were determined as described in the Materials and Methods section.
