Correlation between relative changes of hepatic R2* measurements and serum ferritin levels. Only pairs of consecutive examinations and only patients with R2* >70 1/s at their first examination were taken into account. The solid line represents the best linear fit to the data. The dotted lines correspond to the 95% confidence interval of the linear regression and the dashed lines represent the variability of ferritin (±14%) which was used to accept a real change of this parameter. Negative values represent an increase of the respective value between examinations.
