Sequential two-step autocrine mechanism of leptin-induced lipid body-driven LTC₄ synthesis within eosinophils. Leptin stimulation of eosinophils activates PI3K signaling, rapid RANTES secretion, autocrine activation of CCR3 receptors by RANTES (step 1), PGD₂ synthesis, autocrine activation by PGD₂ of both DP1 and DP2 receptors (step 2), that cooperate to trigger lipid body biogenesis and lipid body-compartmentalized LTC₄ synthesis.
