Effect of DOX and DOX-Vit D on proapoptotic genes. MG63 cells were treated for 24 h with 10 µM DOX and DOX-Vit D. Thereafter, total RNA was isolated using TRIzol reagent, and the mRNA levels of (A) Caspase-3, (B) p53 and (C) BCLxs were quantified using real time-PCR and normalized to a β-actin housekeeping gene.
