Crystallographic analysis of MtMscLΔC. (A) Crystal packing of MtMscLΔC, depicting the head to head packing arrangement between adjacent pentamers. The distances of closest approach between channels along the different lattice directions are indicated; as they are too long for protein-protein contacts they presumably must be mediated at least in part by detergent micelles.
