The asterisks indicate that the z-score is statically significant (p-value < 0.05). TARGET: drug targets, METAB: proteins that are involved in the drug metabolism, absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion. TOXPROT: proteins associated to side effects. TT: genes in common between drug targets and toxicity genes. OT: only TARGET proteins. OTP: only TOXPROT proteins. See Figure 1 for more details. It is worth noting that while 90% genes from the total of 1,934 TARGET genes are classified in the 7 target classes, 40% of the TOXPROT set belongs to other protein classes (Unclassified set).
