Level of BPDE-N²-dGuo in the DNA of skin explants treated with different protocols (a) SSL/B[a]P: exposure to 100 nmol B[a]P 1 hour after irradiation with 2 MED SSL and (b) B[a]P/SSL: exposure to 100 nmol B[a]P for 24 hours followed by irradiation with 2 MED SSL. Data were from explants from three individual donors each treated in triplicate. A comparison was made between samples exposed to B[a]P alone or to B[a]P and UV (statistical significance ^*p < 0.05; ^**p < 0.01).
