IL-25 stimulates the proliferation of keratinocytes via activation of the STAT3 transcription factor, inhibits the production of IL-12 to reduce Th1 immune responses, increases the production of IL-13, and decreases the production of IL-23 to inhibit the Th17 immune responses.
