SM biosynthesis is deregulated in Δset1, Δkdm5 and OE::KDM5 mutants. Indicated strains were grown in ICI liquid culture for 7 days and analysed via HPLC‐DAD. The cultivation was done in the presence of 6 mM Gln for bikaverin (BIK) and gibberellic acid GA₃ (A, E), 6 mM NaNO₃ for fusarubins (FSR) (B) or 60 mM Gln for fusarins (FUS) and fusaric acid (FSA) (C, D). The production was related to the dry weight of the strains and the production level of the WT was arbitrarily set to 100%. Data are mean values ± SD (n = 3).
