Effects of H/R on Shh signaling. H9C2 myocardial cells were exposed to hypoxic conditions (atmosphere containing 0.1% O₂ and 5% CO₂) in 1% fetal bovine serum serum-starvation medium for 4 h. Cells were reoxygenated in an atmosphere containing 95% O₂ and 5% CO₂. Shh (A) mRNA and (B) protein expression was measured using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western blotting, respectively.
