Effect of histone deacetylase inhibitors on mRNA expression in MDA468 and MDA468/FU cells. (A and B) Cells were seeded into 24-well plates. Following incubation for 24 h, the cells were treated with (A) VPA (1 or 5 mM) or (B) SAHA (0.5 or 1 µM) for 24 h. Total RNA was then extracted and reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis was performed. GAPDH was used as the internal standard.
