Blinded histopathology scores of colons from mice colonized with healthy or colitic feces before T cell transfer. A total of 16 RAG-/- mice housed at TTUHSC were colonized (via gavage) with a suspension of feces obtained from either healthy or colitic RAG-/- mice housed at LSUHSC prior to T cell transfer. All 8 mice in the healthy gavage group survived, whereas only 5 animals in the colitic gavage group survived the 8-week observation period.
