Suppression of HSV-1 infection of Vero cells in vitro by VASE- and SID-created devices. Experimental setup matched that of Figure 5. Thirty hours after infection, cell media was removed and HSV-1 viral DNA was isolated. Viral DNA was measured by qPCR. Data shown are means ± standard deviation for triplicate wells. Significance was confirmed using ANOVA and a Tukey post hoc test. Asterisks indicate values that were not significantly different from one another (p = 0.804). Asterisked values, though, are significantly different from the untreated control. (p < 0.05).
