Polysome profiling of wild-type (WT), saur62, saur75, RNAi, rpl12a, and rpl12c flowers. Polysomes extracted from open flowers from the wild type, saur62, saur75, and RNAi (A) and the wild type, rpl12a, and rpl12c (B) were fractionated on a 15% to 50% Suc density gradient, followed by UV254 absorbance profiling. Absorbance peaks with the corresponding positions of 40S ribosomal subunits, 60S ribosomal subunits, and 80S ribosomes are indicated. The quantified abundance of ribosome subunits was derived from three independent biological replicates. Columns represent means ± se. Asterisks indicate significant differences from the wild type (*, P < 0.05) by Student’s t test.
