Lamina propria lymphocytes from inflamed colons injected into peritoneal cavity of Rag-1 mice, lacking functional T and B lymphocytes. CD4 and CD8 lymphocytes were detected in the lungs as well as the colons (Fig. 6a). Lung lymphocytes from colitic and non-colitic mice were incubated with biotinylated helminth antigens, and flow analysis was done for CD11c⁺, CD8⁺ DP gate for binding of the biotinylated antigens (Fig. 6b).
