Viability of A549 (A), H358 (B), and BEAS-2B (C) cells was determined following a 48-h incubation with vehicle or the indicated concentrations of cisplatin in serum-free DMEM using the WST-1 assay. Images at the upper right side depict A549 cells after a 48-h treatment with cisplatin. Percentage of control represents comparison with vehicle-treated cells (set as 100%) in the absence of cisplatin.
