Numerical phantom of a short-axis tagged slice of the left ventricle. The images are shown at different timepoints (left to right and top to bottom) through the cardiac cycle. The tagging pattern shows myocardial contraction and rotation during systole, and opposite mechanics during diastole. Tags fading during the cardiac cycle was taken into consideration based on longitudinal magnetization relaxation.
