Schematic representation of stereolithographic 3D printing. (A) Scanning laser stereolithography, where the focused laser beam scans point-by-point to cure a layer of resin on top of a previously fabricated layer. (B) Projection-based stereolithography, where an entire layer is printed in a single step by projecting the entire layer on top of the previous layer.
