IFN-β and IFN-λ mRNA expression in infected 293/CD26 cells. 293/CD26 cells were either mock infected (M) or infected with MERS-CoV-WT (WT), MERS-CoV-CD (CD), or MERS-CoV-mt at an MOI of 3. SeV infection (100 HA units) was inoculated as a positive control. Total intracellular RNAs were extracted at the indicated times, and the amounts of endogenous IFN-β and -λ mRNA mRNAs were determined by qRT-PCR analysis.
