Reduction of IL-1β expression in activated microglia pretreated by RE. BV-2 microglia were incubated with RE (5 μM, 5 μM was the amount of substance of carnosic acid, and RE contained 60% carnosic acid.) for 1 h, prior to treatment with LPS for 3 h. IL-1β protein was detected by immunofluorescence, which was visualized by fluorescence microscopy. Scale bars: 50 μm.
