The ketogenic diet (KD) fails to increase catalase in mice without PPARγ2. Twoweek treatment with a KD increases hippocampal catalase mRNA and protein in (A) epileptic Kcna1−/− mice (n = 3/group) and (B) wildtype Pparγ+/+ mice (n = 3–4/group); however, catalase mRNA and protein did not change with KD treatment of (C) Pparγ−/− mice (n = 3/group).
