Measured static end-to-end rendering and reproduction latency. Normalized logarithmic impulse responses of both binaural paths measured from an artificial head (left-ear signal only) are shown. The impulse responses are corrected for the acoustic run time Δt_propagation of the signal emitted by the virtual sound source, as well as the sound-card’s A/D latency. System components contributing to static end-to-end latency are shown in Figure 5, and relevant setup parameters are provided in Table 3.
