Cell survival was determined by MTT assays as described in Section “Materials and Methods.” Data are the mean ± SD of at least three independent experiments performed in triplicate. Survival rate (%) = [1- (OD treated – OD blank)/(OD control – OD blank)] × 100%; OD, optical density. Cell survival > 80% means non-cytotoxicity to cells.
